Photographing kids that are younger than “pose-able age” is both challenging and a ton of fun. My attitude is to not think of it as a portrait session, so to speak, but as an observation of normal family happenings. Sure you get a couple “posed” shots in there (as much as squirming kids allow) but for the most part you let the kids play (and sometimes parents too) and see what happens. Such was the case last weekend with the Fenrick’s. Despite cold temperatures (and therefore fussy kids at times) we had a blast. Oh, and we had some awesome (super frothy) Hot Chocolate to warm us up after a trip to the park. Thanks guys.
